Società Italiana Gas Liquidi Spa was established more than 50 years ago with the aim of providing our customers with clean and economical energy.
From the very beginning of our history, we saw in gases enormous potential both in terms of efficiency and operating economy.
LPG has been the first product for decades.
Over the years we have been involved in import, storage and distribution to customers.
Working alongside our customers, we have become familiar with the needs of the industrial and transportation sectors, not forgetting the habits of private individuals in heating their homes not served by city networks.

In the first decades, we rapidly climbed market positions, both of industry, in the transportation market and in the market reserved for private customers.
Through our constant efforts and, above all, in the investment of all our resources, we managed to become one of the first Italian groups in the distribution of LPG and products dedicated to the world of transportation.

Società Italiana Gas Liquidi Spa has always been attentive to both the macroeconomic contexts and the sustainability of its actions, starting with a simple concept: advanced societies are energy-hungry societies.
The challenge, in our view, lies in being able to combine development with respect for the environment and the health of the planet.

Hence our choice at the end of the first decade of the 2000s to research a new product, the LNG, to be used alongside LPG in order to increasingly meet the demands of sustainability and cost-effectiveness that current times impose on us.

In less than ten years, our group has become the first Italian operator, and among the first in Europe, in the marketing of LNG and BIOLNG.

Parallel to the fossil fuel products, we have invested in distributing BIO products (BIOLNG) and we are excited about the future, considering both biofuels and BIOLPG.

The energy transition for Società Italiana Gas Liquidi Spa must be embraced strongly but declined gently, allowing everyone to be able to use energy with very low or zero carbon footprint.
This is where the group’s commitment to open up its investments in energy production from fully renewable sources comes from.
